FOR PARENTS

Volunteer

Life as UA Crew parent is a wild ride of practice, food, cheering, more food, and elbow grease. It’s a great way to make new friends and interact with the team.UA Crew requires substantial volunteer support for each and every regatta. There’s something for everyone. For more info on volunteer roles, please see our volunteer descriptions. We look forward to working with you!

Safety

UA Crew advocates for safe sporting practices at all times. The organization has a carefully drafted UA Crew Safety Manual that outlines its practices for keeping UA Crew rowers safe. This manual is reviewed and revised annually, and is formally adopted by the Trustees.

If you have any questions regarding the policy or the safety practices of the UA Crew, please contact our Safety Chair at safetychair@uacrew.org

Regatta Guide

Parents of new rowers (novice rowers) have a lot of questions about regattas — like what to wear, where to sit, will I see my rower, etc.

To help answer these questions, we have developed a Novice Parent’s Regatta Guide. It’s a quick one-pager that you can reference throughout the regatta season. While it is written for novice parents, it’s a great refresher for varsity parents as well. There’s a lot of good info in there!
